A certain little lady is in need of the cot my other daughter Mia is sleeping in, so the decision has been made to move Mia into a big girl bed, and me being me this means her room is getting a makeover too!
This is how Mia’s room currently looks:
I don’t know why but this room just never came together for me, there are elements that I like and will keep moving forward but I’m super keen to clear out and start again.
So what design would best suit my 3 year old daughter? Mia likes to tell me every day that she’s a ‘big girl’, but she’s still little, so I want her room to feel little for a while longer, but not too nursery or baby like. I also knew that I would be reusing and keeping quite a few elements from the current room, so pulling those together I began to get a sense of the direction the new room should go in.

I wanted something bright, colourful and cohesive, and the inspiration was staring me right in the face, the rainbow pillow!
Of course, lightbulb moment, this palette is so beautiful and would lend itself so well to a fun little girls room, so let the pinning commence!
There are so many beautiful kids rooms out there but these ones really spoke to me and gave me the inspiration I needed to get the ball rolling on creating a rainbow room Mia will love.
