Its so rewarding reviewing and reflecting on the progress we’ve made in our home, digging up old pictures and remembering the house we moved into. But this year I thought what better way to document our progress than with a video, one that we can look back on in years to come (I also might have stolen this idea from chrislovesjulia.com).
Its been a busy year! We’ve achieved a lot and I’m super proud of all that we’ve done and equally as excited to see what the next year brings, but for now here is a recap of our achievements this year…
1. Every wall has now been painted and we have vanquished the cream!!
2. Mia’s room had a very cute rainbow themed update
3. The wardrobes in both girls rooms had a makeover and finally have doors
4. The garage has been converted into an office (aka the den) and separate storage room
5. We replaced the fences in the back garden, painted the brick wall white and added two veggie gardens
6. The majority of the window frames have been painted black and we’ve replaced all of the security and fly screen with new black ones (still a work in progress, this is a fiddly and time consuming job, but oh so worth it)
6. We added open shelves and a new range hood to the kitchen
7. We replaced the front door
8. All of the bedrooms were carpeted
9. The front of the house and fences were newly painted ,and the trees were removed
10. Our bedroom has started its makeover journey
11. The living and dining room got decked out in new curtains
12. And we finally got rid of that smell in the bathroom – this one has been a gripe for some time and even paying professionals to do it didn’t work – my wonderful husband made it happen!
Oh, and we had a baby x
So its been a another big year as we chip away at this house and turn it more and more into the vision we have for it. Thanks for coming along for the ride, here is where we started…
